Boarding at Bridlewood Stables
.................................
At Bridlewood we have your horse's best inerest at heart, and will do everything we can to provide ideal conditions for optimal mental and physical health.

Bridlewood Stables is a gated, private facility with an alarm system, offering maximum privacy and security. Boarding fees are due on the first of every month, unless other arrangements are made between the boarder and Bridlewood.

We are a limited full-care facility - see our Expectations of the Boarder & Boarding Requirements, or please read our Policies page.
Our Barn & Arena
....................
Our Barn is a state-of-the art, recently updated, heated facility. Radiant heating keeps the barn at a comfortable temperature, approximately 0°C, throughout the winter so that both riders and horses are comfortable. This also allows the horses to experience less of a temperature fluctuation between daytime turnout and evenings in the barn.

Stalls are cleaned daily. All stalls are 12'x12', with a fully automated water system. We also offer large, heated indoor washstalls with hot and cold water.

Attached to our barn is a spacious and airy 80'×160' indoor riding arena with vaulted ceilings and excellent lighting.

Tack Room & Lounge
.......................
At Bridlewood Stables we offer our boarders the best of the best! We have a large heated tack room and boarders lounge with a fully equiped kitchen and full bathroom. There is even a shower you can use if you are in a rush leaving the barn! At Bridlewood you and your horse will always be taken care of!

Outdoor Paddocks & Grounds
..............................
We have large, all-wood fenced, lush grass paddocks. Horses have access to fresh water at all times with Nelson automatic water systems throughout the paddocks. Horses are fed hay daily.

There is ample area for riding on our 24 acres, with large, flat open grass fields. We have plans to build outdoor rings and a round pen in the upcoming riding season. And of course our large indoor riding arena is always available, not only in the winter and evenings, but to keep cool on hot summer days.
Summer & Winter Turnout
...........................
In the summer your horse will be turned out in early morning, and come in early evening to be grained. They can then be turned back out for the evening, or if you prefer they can be kept indoors. Allowing horses to be turned out for as much time as possible is most beneficial for their mental and physical health as it is closest to their natural state, and can result in less chance of stall vices and joint and lung problems.

In the winter, your horse goes out in the morning and comes in in the evening. When it is extremely cold, windy, wet or icy, the horses are in their stalls. Turnout time is dependant on weather conditions.
Feed & Feeding Schedule
..........................
Horses are grained once daily in the summer and twice daily in the winter. They are fed hay daily both outdoors and indoors. You are responsible for providing us with the grain of your choice for your horse, and any supplements they may need, or you are welcome to take care of your horses feed schedule yourself if you prefer.

Boarding Fees
..................
Board is due on the first of every month; if you are late paying your board, a five dollar charge will have to be paid for each day late unless specific arrangements are made between you and Bridlewood Stables.

Coaches, Ferriers & Vets
..........................
You may bring in a coach for your horse but he/she must provide a copy of insurance to coach on the premises. You may use the ferrier and vet of your choice, or feel free to ask us for suggestions.
